Something that many parents forget (me too) is that even during the winter you still need to wear sunscreen - both you and your little. baby sunscreenDuring the winter you are less likely to burn because the sin is sitting at a different angle. However, that light you see streaming out from the sun still is chock full of radiating ultraviolet light. Ultraviolet exposure does not stop just because it's winter. Even when it's cloudy there are still rays to contend with. It's a fact that cutting your exposure to ultraviolet rays also cuts your risk of developing skin cancer. Your best bet is that during the winter you need to wear sunscreen on at least the exposed areas of your body - neck, face, and even your ears. The American Academy of Pediatrics says that babies should use non-chemical sunscreens if possible. One good brand is California Baby. It's unfragranced, PABA free, and non-chemical. Plus both you and your baby can use it.
