I'll admit it. When my son was tiny, I would put him in his bouncy, then place his bouncy on the table, so I could see him while I cooked dinner. I never said I was perfect!  This is a big time no no. I shouldn't have done it, and you shouldn't either. Bouncy seats are lightweight, and babies are surprisingly strong when you least expect it. A sudden large movement from your baby or say the table (think about you, your dog, or other child knocking into the table) can upset the bouncy chair, and your baby could take a nasty nose dive to the floor. This is why I don't recommend placing your baby on the dryer in his bouncy seat either. This may seem like a good relaxation technique, but it's just too dangerous. Bouncy seats are always safest on the floor. If you want to see your baby better as you clean, cook, or do whatever, try a swing, and as he's older, a highchair. That said, I do think all mamas need a bouncy seat. Guess why...
