You won’t believe how Rihanna switched up her hair for her new Armani Jeans ad. Do you love it or hate it?
We can’t really keep up with Rihanna’s ever-changing hairstyles.
That’s not a bad thing, though — RiRi’s commitment to super fabulous hair keeps us on our toes and gives a constant source of inspiration for our own strand styles. Her new advertising campaign for Armani Jeans is no exception — the ad shows the S&M singer in a shaggy blond ‘do, much different than the bright red and brown strands she’s been sporting as of late.
We assume it’s a wig — those crazy fashion hair stylists have all the fun tricks.
Rihanna’s chameleon hair doesn’t come cheap, though. The sultry singer reportedly spends about $23,000 per week to hair stylist Ursula Stephen. That’s right: Rihanna spends more on her hair in a week than some people make in an entire year.
Don’t think it’s all coming out of her deep pockets, though.
“You have to wonder why she insists on keeping such an expensive member of her entourage on the payroll 24/7. Most of these costs are paid for by her management,” a source told the U.K. Daily Mail last month.
“She makes several public appearances a week, and the cost soon stacks up.”
Sure do, but we bet Rihanna would argue it’s worth it.
“In the beginning of my career, it was really strict for me. I couldn’t wear pink or red lipstick; it was just bizarre,” the singer told Glamour earlier this year. “We had a young fan base, and they were trying to keep me fresh. But I just really wanted to be myself. I wanted to be sassy, the attitude, all these things that I am.”
The Barbados-born singer isn’t joking about keeping it fresh. Just check out some of her styles from just this year.
