A huge congrats are in order for everyone’s favorite tough-love fitness trainer, Jillian Michaels, and her longtime partner, Heidi Rhoades — they’re officially engaged! The OG Biggest Loser coach popped the big question during the March 8 season finale of her E! series, Just Jillian.
Of course, if you haven’t been tuning into the family’s antics on the reality show, you may not know much about Michaels’ lovely lady or about the duo together. And since they’re just about too cute for words and give us major #RelationshipGoals, we can’t resist sharing a few things you probably didn’t know about their life together.
1. They’ve actually been engaged for quite some time
While the world is only just getting word of Michaels’ engagement to Rhoades, that’s simply because they had to keep the proposal under wraps until after the finale aired. While fielding Twitter queries from fans following the episode, though, Michaels ‘fessed up that they’ve been engaged for four months.
2. Michaels has a special pet name for her future bride
Like many couples, Michaels has taken to referring to Rhoades by a cutesy nickname. Sure, sometimes that includes the classics like “hon” and “babe.” But the nickname Michaels typically defaults to is none other than “mouse.” Via tweet, she explained this is due to the fact “her feet are literally a size 4.5 and she used to do mousercise as a kid.” OK, that’s just precious.

3. They don’t share the same outlook on celebrity
Although Rhoades obviously agreed to have their life documented for the family’s reality series, she wasn’t exactly pumped about the prospect. She straight-up said in an interview, “I’m not that excited about it,” and called the entire experience “super weird.” Still, she’s a good sport about it, given Michaels’ proclivity for being in front of the camera.
4. Board games are their jam
In further proof they’re one of those couples who’d be tons of fun to hang out with, Michaels and Rhoades often play board games with their kiddos. Hilariously, though, Rhoades recently called Michaels out for cheating at Candy Land to beat the couple’s daughter, Lu. Rhoades elaborated on Twitter, saying, “She knows which card is wrinkled and finds it.” Ha!
5. They’re pop culture junkies
Thanks to Rhoades, we know at least one of them is a true Belieber — she ousted the love of her life while watching the Grammys for apparently having another love of the pop culture variety. “So, @jillianmichaels just got chills over Justin Bieber,” she tweeted. The couple also hammed it up recently on the VMAs red carpet with pop culture phenoms Aaron and Austin Rhodes.

6. They live on a farm
These two may make the trip into Tinseltown for big events and work functions, but they prefer the quieter life afforded to them by living on a farm outside of Malibu. There, they raise chickens, ride horses and raise a whole slew of rescue pets. Oh, and occasionally encounter snakes, which Rhoades tweets about in an enviously chill manner.
7. They’re foodies
Despite the fact that they stay so fabulously fit, Michaels and Rhoades clearly both have healthy appetites they enjoy indulging together. Michaels often shares pics of their meals on her Insta, ranging from S’mores to pancakes the size of small children.
