Melanie Griffith is back in rehab, battling a lifelong addiction to drugs and alcohol.
Melanie is taking a little break at Cirque Lodge, the Utah
rehab facility Lindsay Lohan called home a few years back. Her rep said she just went in for a tune up and an oil change, but there are
whispers that the actress was given an ultimatum by hunky hubby Antonio Banderas.
“She is there to reinforce her commitment to stay healthy,” said Melanie’s rep. “This is part of a routine plan that was designed between her and her doctors years ago.”
Blah, blah, blah. Melanie’s anonymous friend has the juicier story: “The reason Melanie checked in was her husband was demanding that she
get clean and sober. He told her that if she didn’t get the help she needed it would be the end of their marriage.”
“Melanie’s struggling right now,” said another source, “but Antonio has been checking in on her as much as he is allowed, making sure she gets back on her feet.”
Someone who recently worked with the actress told Pop Tarts Melanie began making increasingly bizarre requests, like insisting everything in her dressing room be yellow. Like banana
daiquiries. Yum.
