Kate Hudson doesn’t need modern medicine to find out if she’s pregnant with a boy or a girl — she’s got witchcraft. The actress is convinced her baby is going to be a girl, despite refusing to find out the sex via ultrasound.
Confused? The seven months pregnant Kate Hudson explained to Entertainment Tonight, “So here’s the pendulum test. You take a piece of your hair, and you take a ring… and you string it through — this is very witchy of me! And then what you do, is you hold it over your stomach. And then [if it moves in a] circle, [it’s] a girl, and a boy goes back and forth.”
The pregnant Something Borrowed star says she performed the pendulum test to accurately predict the gender of her first child, son Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson.
Kate Hudson’s due date for her second child, whose father is boyfriend and Muse rocker Matthew Bellamy, remains a mystery. “I don’t want to talk about my due date because I have enough weirdos following me around,” she told Access Hollywood. “I’m gonna keep a little to myself. I still haven’t even said it. Everybody seems to know whatever their idea is of what I am. I’m around seven months pregnant. So summer baby.”
It seems Matthew is the one who is itching to find out the gender of Kate Hudson’s pregnancy. “My boyfriend wants to know,” says the woman known for her maternity style. “I’ve convinced him how nice it is not to have expectations of what it is. It’s hard because you go to a store and you see a little outfit, and it’s like a little tiny skirt and you’re like, ‘Ahhhh! We can’t buy it, we gotta wait.’ The only expectation that you have is for it to be a healthy baby and then you meet it instead of knowing.”
