Beyonce has loved dressing her baby bump in sexy mini dresses and colorful frocks, and now she reveals she plans on launching her own maternity line. Is there anything Beyonce can’t do?
Now that Beyonce has put those fake baby bump rumors behind her, the star is gearing up for her next project — her own maternity line! The mom-to-be, who is expecting her first child in February with Jay-Z, has revealed she plans on launching her own maternity line under the House of Dereon fashion label with her mom, Tina Knowles.
“All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman,” she tells Harper’s Bazaar. “It’s been so exciting for me! I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant. Flowy fabrics are always flattering, but I still rock my stilettos.”
If her personal style is any indication of her upcoming maternity line, then we can’t wait! She announced her pregnancy at the MTV Video Music Awards in a beautiful flowing coral Lanvin caftan, followed by a body hugging bodysuit to the Billboard Music Awards and a flirty blue sequined mini dress at her Pulse perfume launch.
Who are Beyonce’s fashion muses? “I love Kate Moss. I think she has great style. And I always admire Victoria Beckham and Gisele [Bündchen]. Their style is modern but always classic,” she says.
Beyonce joins an exclusive group of celebrities that have launched their own line of maternity clothes, including Nicole Richie and Heidi Klum.
