Rumer Willis parties, Demi Moore is still exhausted

Rumer Willis took a well-deserved break from her family drama on Sunday night. The actress showed up at the SAG after-party, but mostly kept to herself.

Rumer Willis and Demi MooreHer mother might be getting some much needed rest, but Rumer Willis tried to forget the past week with a trip to the Screen Actors Guild after-party on Sunday night.

The 23-year-old arrived with Glenn Close‘s daughter, Annie Starke, but kept it low-key, according to an US Weekly spy.

“Rumer was like an apparition — she just slipped in with a friend and then was gone,” the source told the magazine. “She looked like she was walking on eggshells… She was just weaving through the crowd.”

The source added that Rumer “didn’t want anyone to see her” — and who can blame her? We wouldn’t want to answer eight million questions about our mother’s health, either.

As for Moore, the actress is receiving some “spiritual counseling” while Rumer and her younger sister, Tallulah Belle, are hanging out with their father, Bruce Willis. Middle daughter Scout is studying at Brown University, according to E! News.

We were all surprised when news of Moore’s alleged drug abuse emerged late last week. However, friends of the actress and activist told People that she’s been in a bad place for a while.

“Really, it was over the last year her friends saw a change,” a source told the magazine. “She wasn’t sleeping as well, didn’t seem to be eating and looked really gaunt.”

All of the drama led her to drop out of the Linda Lovelace biopic. She was reportedly “devastated” about handing over the role to Sarah Jessica Parker.

“It was a shock and a concern for all of us,” producer Heidi Jo Markel told People. “We got a call from [Moore’s representative] on Tuesday morning and said, ‘There’s been a personal crisis and we need to let you know that.’ And we were clueless. We had no idea what it entailed. We just knew she was out, that there was probably a health concern, and to move on.”

Markel added that they’re excited to have Parker on board, but they hope Moore gets back to her old self soon.

“It was mostly that we were worried about her health. Movies come and go, but someone’s health is the most important,” the producer said. “We just want her to be well.”
