Could the royals get any more normal? In a report on Sunday, the U.K.’s Mirror said Kate Middleton is looking into having her mother step in as the baby’s nanny.

Based on tradition, a nanny is usually hired by the royal family to watch after the new baby. However, Kate and her husband Prince William have been bucking tradition every step of the way.

After suffering a severe case of hyperemesis gravidarum in her first trimester, the couple have been pretty cautious with the rest of the pregnancy.

The Duchess’ friend, Jessica Hay, told the Mirror, “Kate and William are both pretty terrified about the rest of the pregnancy after the hyperemesis. Carole may even move in with them when the baby’s born so they don’t have to rely on a nanny.”

Middleton’s mom would be the perfect fit to comfort the first-time mother to help ease her into motherhood with the royal baby. The couple would have Carole Middleton move into Kensington Palace around the time the baby is due.

Her family has been extremely supportive since she suffered so much throughout the first part of her pregnancy. Hay said, “…Catherine’s very happy. With so much family around her and William they’re starting to enjoy the pregnancy after such a traumatic start.”

Middleton’s mother Carole works at the online family party paraphernalia business called Party Pieces. She started the company in her shed back in the garden in the late 1980s.

The royal baby is due sometime in July.
