Harley Pasternak shows us how to get Megan Fox’s hot bod

He’s trained just about every celeb in the biz: Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Kanye West — the list just goes on. So how does one achieve starworthy results? Harley Pasternak shows SheKnows in this month’s Celebody.

She has one of the most coveted bodies in the business. But you might be surprised to learn that Megan Fox doesn’t really like working out.

Her arch nemesis: Cardio. We feel you, girl!

So how does this foxy actress stay in A-list shape? Her main man Harley Pasternak, celebrity fitness guru and co-host of The Revolution, shows us how.

Step one: Cardio warm-up for five minutes

Harley has clients alternate between five different cardio moves for five minutes. For our workout, we did jump rope, jumping jacks, punches, knee-to-elbow touches and the classic “high knees.” If you’re at the gym or have cardio equipment at home, Pasternak says five minutes on the treadmill or elliptical works just as well.

Harley Pasternak's celebrity workout - Stiff leg deadlift

Step two:

Straight-leg deadlift: Complete 20 repetitions.

Each time you work out you can change your strength-training move. For our workout, Harley chose a straight-leg dead lift.

He emphasized the importance of keeping a flat back rather than striving to go all the way down.

Some alternative lower-body moves include squats or lunges. Your posture is more important.

Step three:

Bent-over row: Complete 20 repetitions.

For our workout, Pasternak chose the bent-over row. Again, keeping a flat back here is important. Other upper-body moves include tricep extensions, bicep curls or overhead presses.

“At home you can use dumbells, cans of soup, water bottles — whatever you have!”

Harley Pasternak's celebrity workout - Alternating Superman

Step four:

The alternation Superman: Complete 20 repetitions.

Begin on your stomach with legs and arms extended, hip-width apart. Proceed to lift alternating arm and leg. Pasternak says this exercise is great for improving posture and balancing out our usually overworked abs. “The problem a lot of women make is they over-train the front of their abs,” says Harley. “There’s too much strength there and not enough in the spinal area.”

Repeat steps 2-4.

Step five: Cardio cool-down for five minutes

Repeat the same five cardio exercises from step one but in reverse, or switch up your cardio equipment of choice.

Pasternak says he does this exact 30-minute workout with Fox and her hubby Brian Austin Green about three to five days a week. To keep it interesting, the strength-training moves are mixed up each day.

So now you have everything you need to get Megan’s foxy bod, or as Harley would clarify, “a better version of yourself.”

“Everyone can be a better them,'” says Pasternak. “They might not look exactly like Megan, but a leaner, fitter version of themselves.”
