Baby cradle choices

It seems like you never see cradles anymore. I see co-sleeping. I see cribs. I even see adorable bassinets, but cradles? Where are all the cradles? Why cradles rock (literally):

• Cradles provide a soothing motion for little ones, and helps to lull them off to sleep.
• Cradles, if you get a nice one, can be passed down and used for generations in one family. While a good cradle can be expensive, it's a great tradition to give the gift of a family cradle to a new mama.
• Cradles are mobile. Unlike a crib, a cradle can be moved room to room easily.
• Cradles are oh so pretty. There's nothing like a nursery with a beautiful cradle as the key focus.
