Boot Camp for New Dads was started by a group of dads in 1990. They have one goal and one goal only -- to help new dads be the best new dads they can be. Here are some specifics from their website:
"Boot Camp for New Dads is a unique father-to-father, community-based workshop that inspires and equips men of different economic levels, ages and cultures to become confidently engaged with their infants, support their mates and personally navigate their transformation into dads."There are currently 150,000 graduates of the program which operates in 250 communities in the U.S. Dads who attend the program learn about topics such as how to get a baby to stop crying, how to hold a baby, even how to change a baby. This program also gives dads a way to connect with other real dads. They have a magazine called Dads Adventure. Listen to their specs on this publication:
"Dads Adventure Magazine is a publication handed out in Childbirth classes around the nation. Dads Adventure Magazine brings together the topics most important to new fathers in a concise, manly format. You won't find any pastels here."That is a magazine many dads might actually read.
