This summer has been nutty so far. My son Cedar is super upset that school is out, and taking it out on me. Thankfully camp starts today, so it's back to business as usual. If you have older tots around the house AND a baby, I hope your summer has kicked off well. That said, it's time for random baby names... Baby boy name: Simon; Greek form of the Hebrew name Shimeon, from shama, 'he heard', although the Greek word, simos, means 'snub-nosed'. Baby girl name: Alexandra; female form of Alexander. It's use for girls dates from the 1st century BC. Wonders of wonders, I like both names today (rare, right?). Simon is totally cute and I think it works well for a baby or adult although the meaning is a little odd. Alexandra is super pretty, but I wouldn't name a baby this, but only because a high school friend of mine was an Alex, and there's too much association (not bad association, just too much). What do you think of today's random names?
