OMG the new top 100 baby names for 2009 was just released and it turns out that people didn't just want babies this last year but baby vampires . Yes folks, welcome to a world where Twilight influences parents to do things like name their baby Isabella and Jacob - the top two baby names of 2009.

I actually find this very strange considering that teen births were down last year. More and more mamas are waiting until they're older and more settled to have babies, and yet Twilight names come out on top, even though, let's be frank, Twilight is a book and movie made for teens. See all the top 100 baby names for 2009. Now, honestly, I haven't seen Twilight. Although my boyfriend's teen daughter made me read the book and has certainly been urging me to see the film. Is the movie that amazing? I mean the book wasn't the worst book ever, but I wouldn't read it again. Would you name your baby after a character in the movie or go with something else?
