In the process of hunting down adorable nursery bedding sets for both boys and girls, I came across several great nursery bedding sets that were unisex. Now, being a Type-A planner sort of girl, not knowing gender would literally keep me up at night! But I've known a few mommies who like a good surprise. In fact, my own mom loved her surprises (naturally -- I mean, I was one of them!) and can't imagine why anyone would want to know. With that in mind, following are five super cute nursery sets that will work for both boys and girls!

Pottery Barn Kids Dr. Seuss Nursery

  • Included: Each piece is sold separately
  • Price: Varies per item
  • Notes: Pottery Barn does not sell this as a set. You pick and choose what pieces you'd like and purchase them individually
I'm having a bit of a love affair with Dr. Seuss. We read at last one Dr. Seuss story every night. The cute, nonsensical characters and quotes put a smile on my face. Bonus tip: Check out eBay for great wall decals - both of the characters and some of the great Dr. Seuss quotes.

Kids Line Peek a Boo Pals

  • Included: Six pieces -- quilt, bumper, dust ruffle, fitted sheet diaper stacker and window valance
  • Price: $139.98
  • Notes: Additional pieces, including blanket, lamp and mobile, are available for purchase
By now, you probably know I think brown is a great color when paired with blue for a boy's nursery or pink for a girl's. This is a great way to still go with brown if you don't know your baby's gender. The set incorporates the alphabet and animals in a very gender-neutral way.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar - custom set on Etsy by LittleOwlsNest

  • Included: Five pieces -- patchwork blanket, reversible comforter, crib skirt and two fitted crib sheets
  • Price: $365.00
  • Notes: Additional pieces, including window valance, diaper stacker, hamper and changing pad cover, are available for purchase
Much like my Dr. Seuss obsession, I'm really into The Very Hungry Caterpillar and have been for a long time. The primary colors are great for either gender and this is a unique set you won't see anywhere, as it's handmade and sold on Etsy. Only drawback: the price.

Somersault Pop Dot

  • Included: Ten pieces -- comforter, dust ruffle, crib bumper, fitted sheet, diaper stacker, blanket, valance and three wall hangings
  • Price: $99.99
  • Notes: Additional pieces, including mobile, are available for purchase
A great gender-neutral set that is nearly all inclusive, for under $100. I like the orange, which isn't usually a feature color in a nursery set. Something different! I'm envisioning a very cool painted nursery with large, overlapping circles in complementing colors.

Sunflower Kids Cirque de Bebe

  • Included: Four pieces -- bumper, crib sheet, dust ruffle and patchwork blanket. Bonus: overhead tent
  • Price: Hold onto your desk...$850
  • Notes: Additional pieces, including toy bag, diaper stacker, pillow and overhead canopy, are available for purchase
Like the "dream" sets I included for both boys and girls, this one is filed under "if money didn't matter." In my mind, the colors are classic gender neutral: soft yellow, blue and green. The circus theme is very cute and it's done in baby-ish style, not a Scary Circus look. Sweet nursery for a sweet surprise gender baby.
