Mom's Story
I had just gone in to see my Ob/Gyn earlier in the day and she had forcably dialated me. My due date was the next week, and I was only dilated 1 centimeter. Later that night, around 10:45 pm, I was watching TV and felt a pain in my stomach. I got up to use the bathroom, but I bent down because my stomach hurt. All of a sudden, my water broke. I started to laugh because I first thought I urinated on myself.

I called my mom in her room and then my boyfriend came and picked my mom and me up and drove us to the hospital.

When we arrived, it was a quick check in, but I guess there were too many women giving birth, and there was not enough room upstairs for me. I stayed overnight in triage.

The next morning, I was able to get a room in one of the delivery rooms upstairs. I was so happy because I thought I was going to have a natural vaginal birth. Unfortunately, my daughter never pushed down, which led me too have a C-section. It was the scariest experience in the world for me.

My daughter was born a healthy 6 pounds, 12 ounces though. A bad experience with a wonderful outcome, and I love being a mom.
