"Did you feel that??" Those are the four words that I've been asking Steve for about a week now. There are times when she is moving so much that I am just certain that Steve will be able to feel it. On Tuesday night (12/20), I was in bed and she was just a dancing away. I told Steve to put his hand on my belly and see if he could feel her. I had felt her the night before for the first time and knew that it was possible to do it. After a while he said that he couldn't feel anything after my constant questions of "Did you feel that??" I told him to lay his forearm over my belly because it seems to be more sensitive than the hand. Right after I told him to do that, she hauled off and whacked me a good one and you should have seen Steve's face light up! She kicked me two good times and Steve definitely felt her. I was 21 weeks and 1 day when he first felt her.

This evening (12/23) we were over at my folks house and I could feel her dancing away again. I told my mom to put her hand on my belly where I could feel her and after about two hours of sitting there Mom had felt her about five or six times.

Baby girl goes through spurts of being very active and then doing nothing. I even tried to shine a flashlight at my belly to get her to move but it didn't work. I often try poking her to make her move. That doesn't seem too successful, either.

We have decided to start to decorate the nursery. I found fabric that Mom and I are going to use to make the bedding. I decided that the bedding I had found online just wasn't going to work when I saw a second picture of it and instead of it being bright, brilliant colors, it was all pukey shades of pastel. EWWW! So, Steve and I went out and found a pattern and then Mom and I went and got fabric. It's a royal purple fabric with tons of multi-colored dots. We also got two contrasting fabrics, one pink with small lime circles, and then a solid color lime. I know it sounds less than fantastic, but believe me, it looks fantastic together. We went today and found paint for the room as well. We picked up a mint color that will compliment the colors in the fabric. We are planning on making circles out of wood that match the circles in the purple fabric to hang on the walls for decoration. Tomorrow Steve and I plan on painting. In fact, I think he is moving all of the furniture out of the room right now in preparation. I can hardly wait to get the room done, although we still have plenty of time!

We have also decided that on Christmas we are going to tell our families the name that we have picked out. I still am not going to tell the people that I work with, however, because I know how negative people can be about names and previous kids they have taught. I just don't want anyone bashing the name that we pick. We have cut out all the letters to the name and put them in an envelope and will have the families unscramble them. It may take a while. I can see with the letters in the name how they would have some trouble! I don't know if my family will be as interested as Steve's family. I know Jon is still rooting for Felicity Q. Wonderbutton as a name. I told him I would name my next cat Wonderbutton. PregnancyAndBaby.com
