100 Days left! Just 100 days! I remember when I wrote that I had 199 days left -- and that didn't see that long ago. It makes me really realize that this little booger will be coming quicker than I thought! Those past 99 days sure did pass quickly. This week has been uneventful, thankfully. I had my doctors appointment for 25 weeks on January 17th. Dr. Baker said that my fundal height is measuring big, 31 centimeters when it should be at 25 centimeters. He said it could be the result of a couple of things, first that I may carry weight in my belly (um, yeah...), or there could be excess amniotic fluid. Since I had an ultrasound on December 8th and 14th, I would very likely doubt that there would be excess fluid since everything checked out alright then. So, he said that he wants to do another ultrasound at my next appointment on February 7th. At that time I'll also have my glucose tolerance test to check for gestational diabetes. I'm excited that I'll get another chance to peek in on Scarlett. I can't wait to see how she has grown in the two months between the ultrasounds.
In the last month I gained 10 pounds which puts me at a grand total of about 13 pounds. Dr. Baker didn't say anything about the weight gain so I didn't either. I thought for sure I would be scolded for it!
She is quite the mover and shaker. I've decided that she's definitely practicing martial arts and will be a black belt by the time she comes out.
My belly is growing -- bigger by the day it seems. There are maternity clothes that fit in the beginning that just don't fit now. I know that they won't be getting any roomier, either.
Kim Stelly contacted me earlier this week and said that she would like to throw us a shower for Steve's work people. I haven't heard anything else about it yet, but I'm anxious to!
That's about all I know! Like I said, it just wasn't too eventful of a week. I'm okay with uneventful!
