After being on blood pressure medication for a week now, my life has kicked into relaxation mode! I had no idea that I was feeling so anxious until after I started taking the medication. Now I feel much more relaxed and in control. I am sleeping so much better at night, too. The blood pressure monitor is no big deal. I take my pressure four times a day and then bring the log into the doctor once a week.
My doctor was pleased with my blood pressure readings, and assured me that bed rest would not be necessary. But he did say that the hubby should start taking over grocery shopping, laundry, and vacuuming. I asked for that in writing!
This week the baby furniture arrived. I wasn't expecting it quite this soon, but that is one less thing to think about. The room will be painted soon, and then we can get the furniture assembled and in place in time for the first baby shower (which will be held at my house). Because the weather is getting warmer, we are beginning to get all the little household projects set in motion as well.
Over the weekend, my In-Laws found a home nearby, and will be moving
shortly before the baby is due in June. It will be so great to have them
five minutes away instead of an hour away. They are so excited about their
first grandchild. I think it's so cute how they know exactly how many
weeks along I am! Sometimes I even have to stop and think about it myself.
