Today we're talking about books for your little one. A great tip when it comes to book buying for baby is don't stick to age appropriate books. I bought Cedar some books created for very young babies but the bulk of the books he received early on were for at least age three and up. Some baby books are great but many just don't have a lot of words and your baby loves to hear you talk. When you talk you're helping him to develop language skills. Also, frankly the baby books bore me just a little. I like a good story too. Here are two funny kid books Cedar loves and they always make him laugh (and me). The Loudness of Sam by James Proimos Dinosailors by Deb Lund Illustrated by Howard Fine 0152046097_150.jpg015202087x_150.jpg The Loudness of Sam amuses me to no ends. Cedar didn't like it until he was maybe three years old. Dinosailors is a great rhyming book but vivid. Be warned, Cedar's favorite part is when all the dinosailors get just a wee bit seasick. Kids love that gross stuff.
