I trust everyone had a stellar (and safe) New Year's Eve. I thought that we could kick off 2008 with some good mama resolutions. Too tired to think up your own? Never fear; I've got some perfect mama resolutions all set-up. 916240___2008__.jpgGet more mama free-time. You know, we're better parents when we take some time to be alone, relax, and hang with friends. Your little ones and you will benefit when you put yourself first at least some of the time. Eat better: Now we can't be great mamas if we're not staying healthy -- it's tough I know (believe me) but try this year to eat as well as you can. This also sets the scene for your baby's eating habits. Drink up: Drink lots o' the water this year ladies. Great clear skin, healthy hair, and controlled weight all because of good old H2O. Drink eight glasses a day. This is one of my personal resolutions actually because I'm the worst at this. We can do it though. Reach out in your community: Nope, this is not hard like it sounds. This is simple. Visit these posts to learn how. Be there: When you spend time with your children be sure that you're actually there, present, and accounted for. People told me lots of scary mama stories when I was pregnant with Cedar. You know, most were unfounded. The one true thing people told me is how fast the time goes by. I'm astounded each year that Cedar is another year older. It really does fly by. Resolve to really spend time with your children this year because they really will be all grown up before you know it. What are some of your resolutions this year?
