Pregnancy dizziness is not unheard of but it's usually not something to be too worried about. During your pregnancy if you stand up and have a spinning sensation, or feel lightheaded, it's likely a dizzy spell. During pregnancy there is increased blood flowing to your uterus, which some medical folks believe deprives the brain of just enough blood to make you dizzy. Another culprit may be low blood pressure during pregnancy. To avoid dizzy spells try to stand up slowly; especially if you've been laying down. Jumping up (even when you're not pregnant) can make you dizzy. Moving too quickly, like spinning around to see something can make you dizzy too, as well as standing in one place too long. Being dizzy in itself is usually not a problem, but if you fall because you're dizzy it may become a problem. Also if you're experiencing excessive dizzy spells always tell your health care provider. Even if you're pregnant, these dizzy spells may be related to some other condition entirely. You don't want to let a serious issue go unchecked.
