Sorry about the no posts early today. I woke up with some icky stomach illness. I've been feeling terrible all day, and just now managed to drag myself out of bed to do a little work. If you're a mama, and happen to come down with a flash stomach issue, it's likely a 24 hour sort of deal, like you caught a virus; or, you ate something funny. To help ease stomach issues try the following: Ginger - ginger in almost any form is good. Ginger tea, ginger candies, ginger raw, and so on. Water - being sick to your stomach dehydrates you, and can make you feel worse. If you can't keep anything down, try a few sips of water every hour, until you can, then drink as much as your stomach allows. Plain crackers - I didn't eat at all today, but if you can nibbling on plain crackers, or even plain brown or white rice is a good idea. It's not smart to have a totally empty stomach. OTC meds - If you can drive, or get someone else to drive for you, and over-the-counter med can help. Hyland's makes some natural remedies that can help. Keep bad stuff out - if your stomach hurts or is queasy, the odds of you putting something bad in it is slim; still, stay away from items like coffee, sodas, spicy foods, and anything that smells icky to you.
