All mamas feel stress. We all get tired. Actually all parents get tired. Sometimes it can be hard to be a happy parent. Try the following. Admit defeat: Some days it just plain sucks to be a parent. Maybe you just want to go for coffee, hit the beach, play around, or sleep; but this parenting gig is taking over your world and all your time. Admit that some days you just need to chill. You don't always need to be working on developing your baby's skills and abilities. You don't need to wash the dishes. Some days just accept that getting the kids fed and clothed is enough. Don't feel bad, because we've all been there. There's no such thing as a perfect parent. Ask for help: Make sure you have a network of people who can help you when you need it. Family, friends, a daycare setting, or hired help is a must. If you're having trouble finding help, hook up with some mama groups - make a mama pal or two, and switch off child care days once in a while. Everyone gets a break now and again, and everyone feels better. Read: 10 place to go for parenting help & advice.

Focus on the positive: Hard when you're down, but worth a shot. Does your toddler scribble you love letters? Does that baby's smile make you melt? Did you just come up with a killer homemade baby food recipe? Focus on the little good things. Not all joyful things are large. Get some sleep: Yes you do so need sleep to function. While you're at it, why not try eating something healthy, not just licking the baby food spoons :)
