I was always into art, so when Cedar was born, I couldn't wait for him to get into the act. For his dad's first father's day, I made a baby foot print card. This makes a great mama or daddy day card, but you can also make some for other occasions, cards for family, or even just make a nice print and frame it for the grandparents. I gathered baby Cedar (he was maybe 4-5 mos old), some non-toxic paints in various colors, card-stock paper, and a bowl of warm water and a towel. All you do is pour some paint onto a plate, dip your little one's foot into it, and press the paper against his foot. You can try pressing his foot down onto the paper, but I've found that pressing the paper into the foot works better. Baby feet tend to be rounded, and don't press flat. For my card, I made maybe five baby foot prints, in various colors, so in-between colors I'd wipe off his foot with some warm water and the towel. He cooperated just fine, and we had a nice gift, inexpensive for his dad.
