Many new mamas slack in one area or another (we can't do everything) and some studies show that dental care is an easy habit to let slip. However, you shouldn't let dental health slide. You can get sick from having gum and tooth problems, and the last thing your baby needs is a sick mama. dental careKeep up with regular dental care - brush and floss at least twice a day. To take the work out of brushing, buy a battery operated tooth brush; your teeth will feel super clean, and you'll barely need to move your arm! If you can't brush keep some sugar-free gum nearby to chew after drinking coffee or eating lunch. Drink plenty of water and eat crunchy veggies and fruits. Use a fluoride rinse for extra gum and tooth protection. Never share a toothbrush with your baby. Keep your dental appointments - your health is just as important as your baby's.
