Yup, it's official, just when you thought no one could offer anything new on Angelina Jolie and her baby brood, W Magazine's November issue is supposedly featuring a breastfeeding Jolie on the cover. Personally, as you may have noticed, I'm not so into celebrity baby news. I prefer mama news, mama post-postpartum exercise, and mama situations that aren't glazed over with personal trainers, luxury diaper bags, and 10 bedroom homes - I mean, who can relate? Still, in this case, I have to admit, Jolie breastfeeding on the cover seems like only a good thing. The breastfeeding movement can always use extra support. Women who breastfeed, or who want to, may feel more comfortable knowing that their favorite star breastfeeds too, or feel good that someone they look up to breastfeeds. This isn't all women need to encourage them to breastfeed, but it can't hurt. My position is that this is great for breastfeeding advocates. What do you think; good news for spreading the breastfeeding word, or too much publicity in the wrong place?
