Once your baby starts solids it's time to think about which foods will benefit her teeth the most. Milk, yogurt, and other high calcium foods have calcium and protein which builds and helps to maintain strong tooth enamel. PS chocolate milk is just as good as plain for teeth too! Cheese - good calcium source (see above) but also studies show that cheese has the ability to stimulate saliva which helps reduce acid on the teeth, which in turn helps prevent decay. Fresh veggies and fruits are healthy for teeth because they contain tons of nutrients like Vitamin C and A, however make sure you prep these foods correctly. Kids under four should not eat crunchy raw produce because they could choke. Water is healthy for teeth for what it doesn't contain - no sugar, no sticky coloring,, and no chemicals. Kids need to stay hydrated, but water is the better choice over juice and soda. Read more healthy teeth tips for kids.
