I rarely blog anything about celebrity parents, because frankly I'm more interested in everyday mamas plus it's annoying to see how celebrities may make your experience of being a parent harder - i.e. you feel guilty because a celebrity looses those baby pounds so quickly. That said, when I come across a celebrity who appears to be doing something well worth copying, I like to make note of it. In this case that celebrity happens to be Nicole Richie. In a recent interview with this mama/socialite, Richie not only notes that she's way into organic baby food but that she's also taking other steps that help protect her baby's skin and the environment such as shunning baby wipes. In the interview, Richie states, "We don't use baby wipes - we use cloth with water." Awesome! I've been talking about reusable baby wipes for years and years, having used them with my son when he was a baby. However, some people still seem to think that reusable baby wipes are too hard, too lame or just not convenient enough. Some parents just won't get on board with reusable wipes in spite of them being better for both babies and the planet. Hence my posting this Richie interview link. If you'd like to try reusable baby wipes for yourself you can enter our Earth Day reusable wipes giveaway - I swear you'll love reusable wipes and they're so much easier than you think - without all that toxic junk you'll find in conventional baby wipes.
