Battat, Inc., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, has issued a voluntary recall of Musical Wooden Table Toys. Approximately 14,000 tables are part of the recall in the United States. The following description was taken directly from the recall notice:
Description: This recall involves Battat’s Musical Wooden Table toys. The table has a green painted surface and colorful instruments affixed to the top. The table stands about 7 1/2-inches tall and has three supporting legs. Instruments on the table include a xylophone, cymbal, drum and two drumsticks.
The musical wooden toy tables were sold at music and toy stores nationwide for approximately $30 each from September 2006 to October 2010.

Reason for recall

Small pegs on the xylophone toy can loosen and detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. The CPSC and Battat received nine reports of loosened or detached pegs, but no reports of injuries were made.

What should you do?

You should take the toy away from your child immediately and return it to Battat for a free replacement.
