Kiddieland Toys Limited, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, has issued a voluntary recall of another 12,000 Disney Fairies Plastic Racing Trikes. Approximately 9,000 trikes were recalled in April 2011. The trikes were sold at Target stores nationwide between July 2009 and December 2009 for $50 each.

Recalled item

This recall involves the Disney-branded Fairies Plastic Racing Trike. The trike is green and purple with a white seat and yellow wheels. On top of the handlebar, there is a Tinkerbell figure and three other rotating fairy figures. "Disney Fairies" is printed on the label in front of the trike just below the handlebar.

Reason for recall

The plastic fairies on top of the trike pose a laceration hazard if a child falls on them. The CPSC has received one report of a 3-year-old child who fell on the fairies and sustained lacerations near her eye.

What should you do?

You should take the trike away from your child immediately. Contact Kiddieland for a replacement handlebar that includes an enclosed rotating fairy display.
