Microbial Contamination In Children’S Sunscreen

Recalled Badger sunscreen

W.S. Badger Company is voluntarily recalling around 30,000 tubes of its popular sunscreen -- all lots of its 4-ounce SPF 30 Baby Sunscreen Lotion and one lot of its 4-ounce SPF 30 Kids Sunscreen Lotion.

Product Description: This recall focuses on all lots of Badger’s 4-ounce SPF 30 Baby Sunscreen Lotion and one lot of Badger’s 4-ounce SPF 30 Kids Sunscreen lotion.

The affected lot numbers are:

  • SPF 30 Baby Sunscreen Lotion 4oz (UPC: 634084490091&634084490114) Lot #’s 3024A, 3057B, 3063A, 3063B, 3132A, 3133A
  • SPF 30 Kids Sunscreen Lotion (UPC: 634084490145 & 634084490169) Lot # 3164A

Where/when it was sold: They were sold at a wide variety of online and retail stores throughout the U.S. and in Canada.

Reason for recall: The products were tested and found to be contaminated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida parapsilosis and Acremonium fungi. There have been no adverse events reported.

What you need to do: Stop using these recalled sunscreens and return them where they were purchased for a full refund.
