If you have a Joovy Zoom car seat adapter, heads up — it may be the subject of a recent recall due to a fall hazard.

Recalled Joovy Zoom car seat adapter

Around 1,500 adapters that attach a Joovy Zoom car seat to a stroller have been recalled. If you have this car seat and have bought an adapter, it’s likely included.

Product Description: This recall focuses on Joovy Zoom gray metal car seat adapters. They feature black plastic clips which are designed to attach the car seat to stroller frames and they measure 17” x 13” x 10. Recalled model numbers are 00945 for Graco, 00946 for Chicco and 00947 for Peg Perego frames.

Where/when it was sold: These recalled car seat adapters were sold at independent specialty juvenile retailers and online at Joovy.com between May 2012 and August 2013 for around $25.

Reason for recall: There have been no reports of injuries, but Joovy has received nine reports of adapters becoming loose on stroller frames.

What you need to do: Consumers should stop using these car seat adapters and contact Joovy for a free repair kit.
