Monkey Teethers Exclusively Sold At Target

Nearly 200,000 monkey teething toys from Infantino have been recalled because they pose a choking hazard. Does your baby have one?

Recalled Infantino monkey teether

Around 191,000 Infantino Go Gaga Squeeze & Teethe Coco the Monkey have been voluntarily recalled due to a choking hazard.

Product description: This recall focuses on Go Gaga Squeeze & Teethe Coco the Monkey from Infantino. It is a soft, squeaking monkey toy that is orange in color, intended for newborns and up, and measures 4.5 inches by 5 inches. On the inside of the right rear leg you will find the a marking that reads 206-647, and “Infantino” is marked near the rear of the toy.

Where/when it was sold: These recalled teething toys were sold exclusively at Target stores and online from December 2012 through January 2014 for about $13.

Reason for the recall: There have been seven reports involving infants choking or gagging on the monkey’s tail, but no injuries have been reported.

What you need to do: Stop using the recalled teether immediately and contact Infantino for a replacement toy.
