Though everyone is congratulating Giuliana and Bill Rancic on their baby news, the couple can’t help but gush about their selfless surrogate.
Bill and Giuliana Rancic aren’t just excited to meet their future child — due in the late summer — but they’re also raving about the gestational surrogate who is carrying their bundle of joy.
“She is giving us the greatest gift we’re ever getting in our lives,” Giuliana told People. “She’s so selflessly helping make our dream a reality. We adore her.”
Though the two were initially nervous about choosing a surrogate, the parents-to-be said they clicked with her immediately. “Once we met her, it was an instinct we had… We could tell she was a great person,” said Giuliana.
The couple accompanies her to regular doctor visits as well. “It’s important to us to see the development and growth,” added Bill Rancic. “At the end of the day, it’s our baby. Genetically, it’s ours. It’s our embryo. We feel very connected.”
Once the baby is born, will Giuliana and Bill stay in touch with their surrogate. To this question, Bill answered, “That will be up to her, but we are very grateful for what she’s done for us and we intend to maintain a relationship with her.”
The pair made their joyful announcement yesterday. “We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered,” said Giuliana to E! News.
And Bill added, “We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey.”
